Inner Choice Psychotherapy is currently looking to hire Illinois fully or provisionally licensed (masters or doctoral level), relational, grounded therapists to help us meet the needs of our community.
Inner Choice Psychotherapy is a small boutique practice located in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago that specializes in offering relational, culturally-competent care to all humans. Inner Choice Psychotherapy believes that culturally-competent care also extends to the therapists who work here. Each therapist at Inner Choice has the agency and autonomy to plan and organize their own work hours, schedule their own clients, and create their own cancellation policy. Inner Choice also strives to create an environment for therapists in which they feel supported and nurtured in their clinical work and are therefore able to be present for and supportive of their clients. We are looking for therapists whose perspectives align with the following:
Belief that developing a secure, non-hierarchical therapeutic attachment with clients is at the core of therapeutic care
Belief that all clients deserve culturally-competent care
Willingness to learn and grow as a therapist
Desire to meet clients where they are and help them move forward with greater understanding of themselves and their environment
Desire to be part of a team that values flexibility, autonomy, calmness, and accountability
Interest/expertise in working with people experiencing mood disorders; identity development, including sexual and gender development; trauma, including childhood and intergenerational trauma, life transitions, and grief
